Collection 01
For her first collection, launched in 2010, designer Auralís Herrero-Lugo stayed true to the principles that inspired her to start a clothing line: minimalism, comfort, and practicality with low environmental impact. Her pieces evoke her childhood and the advent of breezy summer nights in the tropics. For inspiration, Auralis studied the texture and techniques of Puerto Rican painter Angel Otero’s work. His bobbin lace (mundillo-like) textures led the designer to incorporate hemp gauze, organic cotton dobby, and jersey into her collection. The results are free-flowing, wearable pieces with stunning ruffles and draped details emphasizing movement and the designer’s free spirit. This collection also introduced our 2 best sellers, the convertible jumpsuit and the Jennifer jumpsuit.
